The opportunity for people to sit in on a reading of a play by a Buderim-based playwright as part of the developmental process of script writing. After the reading there will be a question and answer session with the author, director and cast plus an audience feedback form to help the author develop the script further.

Cast List:

  • Lionel - Luke Buxton
  • Reg - Bruce Olive
  • Elizabeth - Alison Lamble
  • Barbie - Elli Wilson
  • Eternity/Charity Worker - Jessica McIntyre
  • "Blockie" - Stephen Moore

Over the course of one night, weaving between twisted dreams, visions and jaded recollections, Reg and Lionel reflect upon their life in the bush, their relationship with "the dancers", their tragic family history, and Lionel's tumultuous marriage to Elizabeth. Past, present and future chafe until there is resolution. Thank you BATS Theatre Company Inc of Buderim for their assistance in the development of this script and presenting this rehearsed reading in conjunction with Noosa Arts Theatre Inc.
